Glad you like it!

Unfortunately I haven't been keeping track of which times are best to find people, sorry. Hopefully you'll be able to find someone via this forum.

Hello all,

I just purchased the game. Neat little game. I was wondering if there was a time that most people meet up online. I haven't had much luck finding human opponents.

I suggest making an appearance in our friendly neighbourhood introduction thread! Smiley

Due to recent abuse of the Private Messages system on this forum, I have prevented users with a zero post count from sending private messages. I have also prevented users with zero posts from posting links, in an effort to curb ongoing spam. Everyone else should be unaffected.

If you want to use PMs or post links and haven't posted yet, I suggest making an appearance in our friendly neighbourhood introduction thread! Smiley

Wow, it's been a year! I still play this game... It remains one of my top 5 favorite indy games of all time, some days it's easily my most favorite. I wonder sometimes if Chris is still making games. I say that to no one in particular because the forum is clearly dead and there's no telling how long it will be until he sees this message.

Not so long. Grin  Hey Minus! That's awesome that you still play. I don't think there are a lot of people playing it these days, though I still get a handful of sales every month, so it's not totally dead. Not a lot of forum activity, obviously.

I still check the forums every day. My intention is to keep supporting the game for as long as that's still possible. I have another patch half-completed that I've been slowly working on (fixes the audio crackles some people were having, adds the UI feature request to have Ctrl+drag and Ctrl+rightclick set rally points, some other bits and pieces).

Cool

=Ansible (1v1)=
You can tell from the distances screenshot that it's quite a chaotic map, exactly the kind of mayhem this game's title promises.

From the Map.ini:
name=Ansible
author=Minus
description=A tight cluster of strategic planets with many battlegrounds. Nearly overwhelming micromanagement. Can you keep solid command of your entire fleet? Remember: The enemy's gate is down.

I seem to be having trouble attaching the screenshots, so here's some imgur links. I don't know how long they stay on imgur before they are purged.

Screenshot showing homeworlds.
Screenshot showing distances and base production values.

Just upgraded the database server, causing a few minutes of downtime. Seems like it all went smoothly apart from that.

Oh, and happy new year everyone. Grin

Found our first broken something: Somewhere in the ongoing process of hardening the server against attack, the program that sends email was being blocked from running. Oops! This affected both the forums and the update downloading functionality. I've adjusted some security policies and it appears to be working now.

Hi ceejee,

Are you using the same email address that you used to buy the game? Is it telling you that it can't find your email address in the database, or are you just not receiving the email?

In any case, send me an email and I'll sort it out for you. If you still have a copy of the receipt email, that would be ideal (just forward it to me); otherwise, let me know what email address you used when buying the game.
